AFTER HIS OLYMPIC WIN:
Letters From the President, Secretary of the Interior, and the Commissioner of Indian Affairs.
So far has the fame of Thorpe spread, that his achievements have been noted by the highest officials of the United States Government, and congratulatory letters have been received from President William H. Taft; Hon. Walter L. Fisher, Secretary of the Interior Department of the United States; Hon. Robert G. Valentine, Commissioner of Indian Affairs, and Congressman Marlin E. Olmsted, of this district.
